Colloquial Sound Recordings has started a Tumblr account.

Because CSR is not a horde of misanthropic losers, feigning social and environmental isolation- we hope that we can bring about more content to out supporters via Tumblr, whose interface is more conducive to that sort of thing (as opposed to Blogger).

Photos, video, label updates, etc. will be posted through Tumblr, as well as through this blog, as allowed. I cannot say that Facebook or Twitter is the kind of thing we are into for CSR, but I think we could have an
Interesting thing with Tumblr.

By all means, if you are into Tumblr please connect with CSR. Though we may shy away from social networking- it isn't the social aspect that scares us. We frankly, just don't care about the minutiae that certain networks seem to thrive on.

Perhaps this will be a cool thing,
or maybe it will be deleted by next week. Either way- we would like to clarify that we are not elitist basement dwelling mouthbreathing losers who keep it kvlt. Nor are we hipster trendy pseudo-hippie "transcendental" garbage.

Below are two excerpts from the upcoming A Pregnant Light / SADOS split cassette titled The Sky Conspired Against Thee Before Thy Bones Had Dried.

The cassette will feature two long-form, ten-plus minute tracks from each band. This will be the first release by SADOS. Expect a wash of black fuzz and buzzing noise with pained vocals. A Pregnant Light's second release finds them a bit faster and more "black metal" than their first release The Feast of Clipped Wings. More blasting, more riffing, more ambient parts, more, more, more.

Greetings!

Maryland Deathfest was a great experience! Some personal highlights for me were (of course) Neurosis, Aura Noir, Nocturnal, Masakari, Repugnant, Doom, Marduk, Hooded Menace, Cretin, Inquisition, Voivod, Nunslaughter, Citizen's Arrest and Bastard Noise. Coroner sucked. I was devastated. They sounded like a bar-band. I expected them to launch into "Whole Lotta Love" at any moment. Some bands should have stayed broken up...

MDF was also a tremendous experience for getting the first CSR release AKSUMITE out and spread around. We now have our metalpunk plague along East Coast from Rhode Island to Florida. Crucial Bast Records will also be stocking our releases shortly!
